Born in 1963 in Darjeeling, India, I later moved to Dharamsala, attending the Tibetan Children’s Village School. After completing my education, I pursued Philosophy at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. In 1989, I made the move to Switzerland. Initially an apprentice at Kinderdorf Pestalozzi school, I later became an educator for Tibetan children.
As a young man from a remote area in India, the events of 1989, such as the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Tiananmen Square protests, captivated me, especially as I arrived in Switzerland at age twenty-five during this period of change. I was eager to be part of shaping the new world and to speak out about Tibet’s occupation by China.

«Drawing from the songs and stories of my childhood, I began sharing them to shed light on the truth of Tibet’s situation with my children and the world.»
My journey in Switzerland opened my eyes to a diverse range of perspectives and a rich tapestry of cultures, influencing my approach to education and advocacy. Through my experiences, I developed a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of global issues, inspiring me to work towards promoting peace, justice, and human rights. This led me to actively engage in various international forums, where I voiced the plight of Tibet and advocated for the rights of marginalized communities. My commitment to nurturing the next generation of Tibetan leaders and preserving our heritage continues to drive my work, as I strive to empower young minds with the knowledge and resilience needed to create positive change in the world.
